Certified Hand Therapy

Our most exclusive therapy is Certified Hand Therapy. Think of what it would be like to not have the use of your arms, elbows, wrists and hands, and you would understand how your entire life could change. It only takes a moment to injure your hand, wrist, elbow or shoulder; but the rehabilitation process often takes weeks or months.

This is when a Certified Hand Therapist can really help. It takes someone special to become a Board-Certified Hand Therapist, or CHT. You must have a minimum of five years of clinical experience and more than 4,000 hours of hand therapy practice to achieve board certification. And with the certification's rigorous requirements and demanding commitment of time, energy and desire to help, it is no wonder that there are only a relatively small number of CHTs around the nation. Because we have a CHT on staff, we offer advanced physical therapy for patients whose upper extremities have been affected by injury or illness, such as:
